You always have to wonder if all of those 5-star reviews are for real. Vendors can and do buy reviews, just as they can buy Facebook likes. Here are a couple of sites that do some of the detective work for you. They analyze and decipher product reviews for legitimacy.
Fakespot looks for suspicious patterns and then delivers what they say are reliable reviews from real people.
ReviewMeta works similarly. Just copy and paste the product link on their website and they’ll scan thousands of reviews, identifying unnatural patterns.
The results aren’t going to be 100% accurate, but these tools are worth a look when you’re planning your next purchase.
