Q. We’re getting hit with a lot of spam. I checked the header of the offending e-mail in my thunderbird mail program. It was a bogus reply address, but there is an “originating IP “. Is there a way I can trace this number?A. To explain, an IP address is a unique identifying number. All computers on the internet have one. A typical IP address is a series of numbers with periods, like this:
- 216.12.34.567
