There’s a website called spokeo.com. It’s an online directory that shows ALL sorts of private information when you search someone’s name. It gives the names of everyone in your household, your address, the value of your home, your age, etc. Yikes. I found myself on it this morning under my maiden name.To be removed:Search for yourself, then copy the URL (it’s in the address field at the top of your browser and looks something like:http://www.spokeo.com/search?q=your%20name%2C%20city%2C%20s#:173665/info).Next, click the privacy link at the bottom of the page and you’ll be given a form into which you can paste your URL.
