Free forum for your web site
By jdoepro | July 14, 2008
Want to add interactivity to your web site?
PHPBB is an open-source, hence FREE, forum application you can add to your web site. It’s relatively easy to use, though the average web site owner will need some technical help getting things set up.
Because the software is released under the GNU General Public License, you can alter the code without first having to obtain permission from the phpBB Group.
Before downloading and diving in, check with your web host to make sure they support PHP and have a SQL database system.
As the site owner, it’s your responsibility to set and uphold the ground rules for the community. Staying in close touch with your forum’s users, and posting regularly, will help get your site moving.
