Easy Keyboard Shortcuts Anyone Can Use

Save time and effort when you’re using your computer with these
keyboard shortcuts.

On Windows, use the CTRL key. On a Mac, the CMD key.

SAVE: CTRL+S (Windows) or CMD+S (Mac)
To save your work, this is quicker than looking around at the top of your program for the “Save” icon. Press and hold the CTRL key, then press the S key. Save your work often so that if the program or computer crashes, you won’t have lost everything.

COPY: CTRL+C or CMD+C

PASTE: CTRL+V or CMD+V
Not sure why they didn’t choose P, but this is a quick way to move files, folders, text, etc.

UNDO: CTRL+Z or CMD+Z
Want a do-over? The Undo shortcut takes you back to the previous step if you made a mistake.

REDO: CTRL+Y or CMD+Y
Or if it wasn’t a mistake after all, use the Redo shortcut.
